Malta Yacht Leasing Scheme

The Malta Yacht Leasing Scheme is Government sponsored VAT Mitigation Scheme that has been in existence for ten years.  We helped formulate the Scheme in conjunction with our lawyers in Malta. At best, if a vessel is in excess of 24m loa, an effective VAT rate of 5.8% can be realised giving Owners significant financial benefits. Leases are for a period of between 1 – 3 years and the use of the yacht by the ultimate beneficial owner is not in any way impaired or prejudiced. The yacht will have to go to Malta at the commencement and termination of the Lease. Please contact us for further details and a bespoke quotation on a case by case basis.
